I'm a self taught costume designer, and I share my progress through video! I do cosplay and original designs. As I am self-taught, my process includes a lot of trial and error.
Making of a Ballgown: Embellishments
This is the final video of a series. I explain how I went about designing and adding the details of the dress. This is my senior project for college. Photoshoot coming soon!

Making the petticoats: ua-cam.com/video/CUAAHqzhr1Y/v-deo.html
Construction of the dress: ua-cam.com/video/gWNI7wpCvNY/v-deo.html
Metalic gold embroidery thread was used for the appliqué and purple and white swarovski crystals were glued onto the dress. E6000 glue was used to apply the crystals.

This is the second video of a series. I explain how I made my petticoats for a ballgown dress. This was a project for college. This is not a tutorial. My fabric choices include polyester organza and cotton twill. I used an elliptical hoopskirt to give it shape. Fantastic and a lot of work!! But the results are out of this world. The cost must have been outrageous. Wish you had continued to post videos. You did a great job!! Hope all is well.
Can we get video of this dress making
This is gorgeous
petticoats are so satisfying
that was an amazing dress and Tutorial but I love how she says I have plans for cosplays in the near future but it’s been three years....... lmao it better be a nice surprise
I worked many years in the wedding industry, I have made so many petticoats in my life, I would use 20 yards of stiff petticoat netting, 60 inches wide, I would cut the 60 inch wide fabric into 4 equal width of 15 inches, I would pleat each of the 20 yard lengths in one half inch pleats, around 3 inches apart, this amount of pleated material would make two layers of finished petticoat. I would make a simple drawstring slip, the yoke was 10 inches wide and the first row of finished ruffles was attached , then the second row stitched, then the third , two three tier layers would come out of the 20 yards. This petticoat was super full , perfect for a Wedding gown or Ballgown, I hope this will help give you an idea, l saw a petticoat made this way from a Mexican Bridal Shop in 1985,
Please write the all type of febric name use in this peticoat
How much fabric (width) did you use on the silk chiffon for the waist? Very Nice sleeves and bodice!
amazing video and no hate but silk is actually made from boiling caterpillars alive so I use satin instead of silk
The only thing I don't like about what you do is that your never answer your comments.
What hoop skirt did you use?
i wish you sold these ! Im having trouble finding a huge petticoat like this
Can you translate in Arabic🥰🥰🥰
Hi. I'm a sewer and I've been watching this video for a while. I want to make the Cinderella costume from the live action. But I don't know how to make a ball gown petticoat like how it was in the movie. I was wonder if you could give more details on this petticoat because it's exactly what I need.
hi! so i have looked at loads of reference pictures from on set and I can tell you. Just a heads up that if you are going to make a crinoline to dance in, it needs to be more rounded than elliptical otherwise it will bash into the front of your legs. So, the first petticoat is made of godets which are basically triangles with a curve, circle skirts and ruffles. the second layer is chiffon circle skirts and the third is white organza circle skirts, both of which have frills at the bottom. I think that's the right order but there are pictures online of each part i think
Nice Work , but Four and a half months , why so long
This is so pretty!!! I’d want to wear it just as a skirt on its own; really show off all that puffy, ruffled, dreamy beauty! Looking forward to the next video!!
Beautiful ❤️
like shue porm derss ball womens make james miackizen ranlfnuyr vices very happy pirrcess
A tutorial of the corset please
wish you said messerments and so for this dress that u did so i can base it off on something and how long of the top fabric did u use and more
Strong Megaera vibes
SWAR-AUV-SKI is the correct pronunciation. I only point this out because your work is so good and so beautiful and so so professional and your words should match this. When I saw you doing princess line dart manipulations in the first video it brought back memories of my first fashion design class in college in 1986. I was in for a rude awakening as I just sort of imagined myself twirling yards and yards of gorgeous fabric onto a dress maker’s form and pinning it any old way and ending up with some draped and ruched little confection. Obviously, that was not the case. Keep up your wonderful work!
How to make that ball
*SOOO* disappointed you didn’t try it on!! Looked so gorgeous
Just curious, you gathered 9 yards of white organza into each tier so how much gold organza did you gather into the bottom of the white organza?
Estaría bueno que muestres como lo haces paso a paso
Wow that is just beautiful so much work and so beautifully done ,and you seem so young too big well done
Great hope ' Thank you so much .👍👍
I absolutely love the fashion of the 18th century! Especially the gorgeous ballgowns!
i think i have the idea but can you tell me if your sewing each layer of organza to fabric or if its all one piece of fabric and ur sewing each layer to the fabric i would like too make the peticoat n dress but im trying to figure out how u connected the organza to fabric u did a great job thank u for shareing
do you have to add structure bonings even if you don't want it to be strapless?
operator watch out
Can you do a video on how to make that cage looking skirt thing?
Definitely gonna use this for my Belle cosplay.
I would love to see you sewing petticoat dress without crinoline just like cinderella blue dress :D
this is really nice. Can you advise on how to make a hoop skirt like cardcaptor sakura's? I just need it for my daughter's project. Thank you!
So what you'll need is actually a petticoat for the bottom part of the dress, a hoop skirt will be a bit too much! I think you may want to use horsehair boning for the end of the skirt but with the right petticoat that will be unnecessary
Can you do a wedding dress in the egyptian style for me and also you can use the dress for your cosplay selection h7n xx
How long was the piece of chiffon you used for the skirt?
Wow ! Amazing !
Very informative video, thank you:)
Mam ye hindi me video bnao

Such great work! Wish there was millions of more crystals. But it looks gorgeous just as is.
